Digital redesign for a 4★ beachfront resort in Sousse

Riadh Palms Resort & Spa is one of the largest hotels in Sousse: 650 rooms, a Blue Flag certified private beach, spa, pools, restaurants and 9 meeting rooms. A historic property that welcomes Tunisian families as well as European tour operators, with heavy seasonality and a premium service standard.

Apeiron Technologies was chosen to design, build and operate the full digital platform for the hotel — hotelriadhpalms.com — from the marketing website to the direct booking engine and the multilingual virtual assistant Palma.

The challenge

The previous website reflected neither the quality of the property nor the depth of its offer. The main goals:

  • Reduce OTA dependency (Booking, Expedia, tour operators) which take up to 25% commission on every stay
  • Grow the share of direct bookings with a best-price guarantee and an optimised conversion funnel
  • Showcase the experience: Blue Flag private beach, All Inclusive, spa, event spaces
  • Serve an international audience in French, English, German and Russian
  • Drive availability and pricing in real time in sync with the hotel PMS
  • Answer guests 24/7 before, during and after their stay

What Apeiron delivered

1. An immersive, conversion-focused responsive site

A complete redesign built mobile-first — more than 70% of hotel traffic comes from mobile. High-resolution photography of the beach, rooms and common areas, WebP compression and lazy-loading for fast delivery, smooth animations and a short, decisive navigation.

Main sections: accommodation (rooms & suites), beach & pools, spa, restaurants, All Inclusive, meeting rooms, location, FAQ and contact.

2. A direct booking engine with best-price guarantee

The heart of the platform: a native booking engine embedded in the site, with no redirection to a third-party.

3. Palma, the multilingual virtual assistant

Apeiron built Palma, the hotel's official chatbot, docked bottom-right on every page and available 24/7. Palma handles the most common traveller questions:

  • Availability and pricing for a given period
  • What's included in the All Inclusive package
  • Opening hours for the spa, restaurants and pools
  • Distance from Monastir and Enfidha airports
  • Policies for children, pets, cancellation
  • Booking a spa treatment or a meeting room

The bot is multilingual (French, English) and runs on a knowledge base curated by the hotel team, with fallback to a human agent when needed.

4. PMS integration and back-office

The site is synchronised with the hotel Property Management System:

  • Automatic publication of availability by room type
  • Dynamic pricing updates (high season, last minute, long stay)
  • Bookings pushed directly into the PMS planning
  • Invoice generation and online pre-check-in
  • Consolidated reporting: occupancy rate, RevPAR, acquisition channels

5. Events & MICE space

A dedicated funnel for business clients: discover the 9 modular rooms (20 to 500 seats), download the tech spec, submit a quote request and book a site visit. Every lead is routed to the hotel sales team.

6. Weather, location and practical info

Dynamic widgets round out the experience: live Sousse weather, interactive map, a « Before you go » guide, and practical information (schedules, transfers, activities around the hotel).

Technical architecture

  • Frontend: React + TypeScript, SEO-optimised static rendering, WebP imagery, Core Web Vitals in the green
  • Booking engine backend: Node.js, secure REST API, PMS connector
  • Headless CMS: the hotel marketing team edits rooms, offers and news autonomously
